                                                                                                                                                                                                     How to use Transits

There are 3 basic concepts when we make use of transits….

1) The Gochara or transit aspect

2) Vedha (obstruction)

3) Vipreet Vedha (reverse vedha)

I would be explaining you all these three concepts one by one…though all the three concepts should be used simultaneously otherwise none of them would give accurate results.

Gochara basically means the position of each planet with respect to the position of MOON in the birth chart.

Here we will take everything with respect to the Janma rashi (rashi in which Moon is placed in the birth chart or lagan chart)

I am listing concepts in a very very brief and crisp manner so that its easy for all of you to understand and learn at one go….

First let me just give the crisp and digestible fodder….instead of listing the exact words of texts, so that you feel yourself in a comfortable zone….

1) Paap grahas (like Sun, Saturn, Mars) behave in a good manner when transiting 3rd ,6th,10th,11th houses from the Janma rashi.(i.e. upachaya Sthanas)

2) All the planets gives auspicious results when transiting from 11th house w.r.t to Moon in the birth chart.

3) Both Jupiter and Venus gives inauspicious results when transiting from the 10th house w.r.t Moon of the birth chart.

4) Venus proves inauspicious only when it is transiting from the 6th , 7th and 10th houses w.r.t Moon of the birth chart.

5) Jupiter behaves in a very good manner when transiting over its KARAK Sthans w.r.t Moon of the birth chart.(i.e. 2nd,5th,7th,9th,11th)

6) Moon and Venus are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the first house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.(i.e. over the Moon itself)

7) Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 2nd house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart

8) Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 3rd house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

9) Mercury, Venus  are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 4th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

10) Jupiter and Venus are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 5th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

11) Moon, Sun, Mars, Saturn and Mercury are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 6th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

12) Moon and Jupiter are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 7th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

13) Mercury and Venus are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 8th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

14) Venus and Jupiter are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 9th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

15) Sun, Mars, Saturn, Moon and Mercury are the only planets which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 10th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

16) Venus is the only planet which gives auspicious results when transiting over the 12th house w.r.t to Moon of the birth chart.

Now all the above mentioned concepts would be useless if an astrologer doest know about the concept of vedha and vipreet vedha.

Before Moving ahead , I would like to tell you all that these concepts were given by sage vashishta and therefore it is to be taken as great secret and should only be advised to good pupils.

Note:-Saturn DOES NOT cause vedha to the Sun nor does Sun afflict Saturn

Transiting Saturn’s bad effects in the 12th house from the natal Moon will be neutralized if there is a planet other than the Sun transiting the 3rd house from natal Moon.

Even if a planet transits a favorable sign, he does not do any good if he occupies an inimical or debilitation sign or is associated with or aspected by an inimical planet.

Even if planets occupy favorable Gochara positions, they do not contribute well if they are afflicted by vedha. Similarly though the vedha sign may be unfavorable, a planet situated there being counter afflicted by a planet occupying its vedha rashi does no evil but offers only good.

It is to be always remembered that Transits concepts should not be used in isolation; they should always be used as a complimentary system to the dashas.

Those astrologers who claims to predict just on the basis of transits are either fooling the general public and themselves or are clever enough to use transitory system with dasha system and announcing falsely that they only uses transitory system.

Even Prashna chart also should not be used in isolation, If the native doesn’t have his lagan chart (or the necessary details required for casting lagan chart) only then Prashna chart should be used in isolation, In this case an astrologer should also try to trace the actual chart of the native on the basis of methods prescribed in the texts.

Many a times Prashna chart results prove out to be more accurate than the results predicted just on the basis of transitory system.

The vedha positions for Rahu and ketu are 3,6,11 and the vedha positions are 12, 9, 5.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Betting and Astrology

I was reading somewhere that the money involved in an unethical and illegal business of Betting worldwide can give a complex to the whole GDP of a well established Nation.

It may appear shocking to some, but this is the truth and we cant deny it.

But what does Astrology has to say about it.

Though Astrology is the holistic science but still people involved in this kind of a business can be easily identified with the help of their birth chart(if correct).

You all must be wondering that what could be the combinations for the same:

So for you all, here is the list.

Main Planets Involved: Rahu, Saturn

Main Houses Involved: 6th, 8th and 11th, 12th (in case foreign transactions are involved)

Additional Involvement of planets as per the area in which betting takes place:

Any Kind of Sport like cricket, football, basketball etc: Mars

Betting Related to Governmental ups and down: Sun

Betting w.r.t Stock Markets: Mercury+(planet representing the stock type)

Similarly things can be understood.

Apart from the planets and houses under scanner, the charts of the people who are involved in betting must satisfy these basic parameters:

1) Moon under malefic influence.

2) Lagan under malefic influence

3) Jupiter (Jeevakaraka) under malefic influence.

Remember in the above cases, malefic influence doesn’t mean that the lagan house, moon and Jupiter are losing their strength but the point is their power should be directed in a wrong direction…and that can be seen from malefic influence on it.

Now Why Rahu, Saturn, 6th house, 8th house, 11th house and 12th house.

Rahu: This planet is most famous for giving sudden gains and losses and that too the gains and losses which are HUGE.

Saturn: This has the power to change the life of a person within a day(for good or for the bad), most of the times, its in the strategy of a Saturn that it can do anything to teach native a HARD LESSON which may sometimes turns very hard. Saturn has one motto for the corrupt: IT abundantly GIVES to TAKE AWAY much more.

6th House: House of Debt

8th House: House for all kind of hidden activities which have a sudden parameter attached to it, UNDERWORLD resides here only.

11th House: House of Desires and Gains

12th House: house of Loss.

Though 5th house is also for speculation but that represent legalized speculation like that in stock market.

Saturn is a planet of discipline, but Saturn has different ways to bring in discipline Saturn being the karmakarak always has a major role to play. If under the influence of Mars (sports) and Rahu and is simultaneously linked with 8th, 11th house (especially), keeping in mind that moon, lagan and Jupiter are getting tamsik through certain undesirable influences then the combined effect will most definitely force the person to get involved in betting.

How does MARAK (which can Kill) PLANET FUNCTION?

In my discussions with many senior astrologers, I have noticed that very very few people have complete clarity in their mind w.r.t Marak grah i.e. How to use it?

Is it that Marak grah will always behave Like Marak? If Yes why, If No why?

If yes, is it more malefic than 6th or 8th lords? If yes why, If NO why?

What about the status of the planets placed with marak grah, yes they could also behave as marak, but question is when, why and how?

If both 2nd and 7th lords are Marak; who would be the prabal (Strong) marak?

Concept of Marak

Ideally, Lord of 2nd and 7th houses is known as marak grah.

BUT

Marak should be IDENTIFIED AS THE CUSP LORDS OF 2nd and 7th house RATHER than simply the house lords of 2nd and 7th house.

Though 2nd and 7th houses are good for material and relationships matter but are considered as Marak ( since can cause death)

Here I must tell you all, although out of context but still.

2nd house PROMOTES nature of lagan, 12th house SUPPORTS that nature and 7th house MODIFIES that nature.

Anyways coming back;

For Mesh lagan Venus becomes the prabal marak and for Tula lagan Mars becomes the Prabal Marak.

Though some take Saturn as the Prabal marak which is not true, Saturn believes in giving suffering to make native understand the rules of universe, Jupiter can kill but Saturn cannot.

Though 6th/8th and 12th houses are considered as bad houses, but when it comes to death, Marak lords (2nd and 7th CUSP lords) are also considered bad.

That is Marak grah has a definite role to play in the matters of death along with trik Lords (6th, 8th and 12th lords)

BUT

HOU MUCH ROLE or to what EXTENT a Marak will play in the matters of Death, has to be analyzed, by “How Much role”, I mean, at what slot in the DASHA sequence is Marak occurring to cause death (Maha dasha, antardasha, parayantar dasha, sookshma dasha) i.e. the role could be minimum when Marak lord is just occurring in sookshma dasha, while in the Maha, antar and parayantar dasha of 6th,8th,12th lords etc its role could be greater.

Marak planet would play his MINIMUM role when it is UNAFFLICTED and strong enough (Swarashi, Mooltrikona, exaltation or friends house without any malefic influence)

Similarly it would play a greater role by appearing in maha, antar dashas etc or may occupy even 2 slots (Like Maha and paranytra dasha) simultaneously, WHEN this MARAK PLANET is afflicted or WEAK.

CRUX of the Matter is the strength of the marak planet (As per the CUSP lord of 2nd and 7th lord) will decide the level of interference of marak planet.

If he is strong placement wise, rashi wise, shadvarga wise etc. without any malefic influence.

then he would play limited role in causing death or I should say , he will just give the final FINISHING TOUCH(that’s why I said SOOKSHMA dasha) while the major role would be played by 6th,8th and 12th lords.

If he is not strong or afflicted Marak could be the primary reason for death instead of 6th, 8th and 12th lords.

Note : ROLE of MARAK planet will always be there, it could be less or as I said last finishing touch BUT WITHOUT MARAK role death could not occur, irrespective of the fact whether marak is powerful or not THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT POINT.

Here, I am again repeating my words that CUSP LORDS OF 2ND AND 7TH house should be TAKEN as MARAK grah this is very important as otherwise the whole calculation will go wrong.

NORMAL lords of 2nd and 7th house as per the lagan chart WILL NOT DO THE TASK.

So KP or cusp chart is very important.

For the matters other than death, marak planet should not be considered as BAD, like trik lords are considered generally bad.

Here, always remember that 8th house/lord is most malefic, after that comes the 6th house/lord and then comes the 12th house/lord (which is somewhat neutral, its effect is dependent on the malefic or benefic influence on it).

If sun or moon is the 8th lord then both 6th and 8th lords are equally malefic (that is 8th lord is somewhat lesser malefic)-this is again very important.

But when we come to death matters, marak grah is equally bad as 8th lord is, this is extremely important to understand but as I said only when it is weak of under malefic influence.

Most of the astrologer’s just mix things in a wrong way, like while seeing death, if you start giving more importance to 12th or 6th lord and less importance to marak and 8th lord, you are actually committing a BIG BLUNDER or even less importance to marak and more importance to 8th lord which is wrong.

Many astrologers, without ascertaining the general age, just jump to see the effect of Marak which is also wrong.

One should first have a clear idea that whether the person has madhyaaayu or chiraayu etc also one should see that whether or not the native has unexpected death (aakal Mrityu)

Just with the glimpse of a chart, an astrologer should be able to ascertain, that whether the native would have natural death or violent (unnatural death or aakal Mrityu).

Unnatural death could be due to accident (Fire, air, water, earth (vehicle) related), suicide, black magic, in operation theater or murder etc.

To see the presence of unnatural death in the chart;

Just look closely these three factors as they are sufficient enough.

1) Moon

2) 8th house

3) 8th lord

If there is a SIMULTANEOUS malefic influence of sun, Saturn, mars, ketu and Rahu on the above three factors (With no shubh prabhav or benefic influence) the native would face an unnatural death in the dasha, antardasha of the planets involved.

Note: For determining the kind of death, the nature of planets should be seen like mars, ketu are specifically violent, so can give violent death.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Color science and Astrology

This is again a very interesting topic which somebody requested to me today itself. In fact after giving it a full read to this article, you will find definitely yourself nearer to God, science and of- course Astrology.

We all know that the basic and root name of astrology is “JYOTISH”, which is a combination of “Jyoti” and “ish”, Jyoti means light and Ish means knowledge. In other words Astrology basically means the “knowledge of light”.

Modern science is miles and miles behind in understanding the accurate effects of light on the human life. The one who knows all the effects of light on human life is therefore called as the “knower of all” and that’s why this science of Astrology is called a divine science because of its transcendental application on one and all species of world.

Ok, so without boring you any more, let me straight away come to the point.

See, every thing in this universe is composed of Seven Rays of color. We can see these rays in Rainbow. We all know that whatever light is coming to us in the form of sun rays is actually the mixture of 7 forms of light. We all have studied the concept of VIBGYOR when we were kids. (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red).VIBGYOR is also known as meghadhanusha in India.

Modern science knows all about these colors of light, right from their wavelength, frequency, intensity, absorption, reflection, emission, refraction, perception (brain, eye etc), its constancy, its deficiency. Physics have named light as an electromagnetic radiation in the visible range this that bla bla BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE SCIENCE HAS NOT EVEN TOUCHED OR DON’T EVEN KNOW THE MAIN USAGE OF LIGHT.

I.e. IT’S IMPACT ON HUMAN LIFE…..which is nothing but Astrology.

As per the Ancient Indian text, the “KURMA PURANA“, the seven planets are to be seen as condensations of the seven cosmic rays. It was understood that our planet Earth is the epitome of the greatest condensation of the cosmic rays.

This is the reason why the first few stones of astrology are about the number of rays which each planet processes.

Sun has 5 rays, moon has 21 rays, Mars has 5 rays, Saturn has 5 rays, mercury has 6 rays, Jupiter has 7 rays, and Venus has 8 rays.

Similarly colors w.r.t planets can also be defined.

Color of the cosmic rays COMING from

Jupiter is YELLOW, Mars is RED, Sun is Dark ORANGE (close to red but not red)

Saturn is BLUE, Mercury is Green, and VENUS is VIOLET.

In color theory, two colors are called complementary if, when mixed in the proper proportion, they produce a neutral color (grey, white, or black).

RED AND GREEN colors are complementary to each other

Therefore mercury and mars is enemies, as red and green cosmic rays can neutralize each other.

Same is the case With BLUE AND ORANGE; both colors are complementary and can neutralize each other…

THATS WHY Saturn and Sun are inimical to each other (but remember that they may also neutralize the bad effect of each other or may purify each other)

Similarly, VENUS AND JUPITER ARE enemy’s, as yellow and violet are complementary to each other and can neutralize each others auspicious results.

Complementary colors when placed side by side make each other appear brighter.

So for example if Jupiter and Venus are placed 2nd and 12th from each other, they will become temporary friends and will start promoting each other.

Same is the case when mars and mercury are placed 2nd and 12th from each other.

For your information, let me tell you that VENUS AND JUPITER TOGETHER CAN CAUSE BLOODY BATTLES

on mundane level especially when they are in trine to each other but this is only one of the many factors.

Ok so now let’s understand things more deeply that how exactly we can learn astrology through the colors of planets involved.

Consider the conjunction OF JUPITER MARS.

THEN JUPITER has YELLOW COSMIC RAYS.

MARS has RED COSMIC RAYS.

SO THIER PERFECT yog will result into orange color of SUN.

SO perfect yog of Jupiter mars will give the effect of SUN.

But here analysis would be different as sun lords over only 1 rashi that is Leo.

However when we talk of the Combined effect of Jupiter and mars then we know that they together lords over 4 rashi’s (Aries, Scorpio of Mars and Sagittarius, Pieces of Jupiter)

As a result the effect of the combination of 2 planets is always greater than the effect of an individual planet which is sun in this case.

Just for your information, let me tell you that combined effect of the Combination of Jupiter and mars is 72 years(the highest possible in any yog of in astrology); similarly that of Saturn and venus yog is 48 years as per the Lal Kitab.(you can refer Lal kitab for life term of other Yogas)

So I have given you one clue to interpret the abrupt looking conclusions Lal Kitab (Red Book).

Anyways SIMILARLY, PERFECT yog of JUPITER AND SATURN (BLUE AND YELLOW) will fructify GREEN COLOUR

THAT RESEMBLE MERCURY

NOTE: word PERFECT MEANS EQUAL PROPORTION OF TWO COLOURS.

So perfect yog of Jupiter and Saturn will work like mercury.

In fact more intense than actual mercury, reason you know, Mercury lords over only 2 rashi’s but Jupiter and Saturn when combined lords of 4 signs plus Jupiter also have 5th,9th full aspects to its credit and Saturn have 3rd and 10th full aspects in its lap apart from their 7th aspects which mercury also have.

We can also understand the process and effect of planetary combinations through the color of their cosmic rays with the help of color wheel where two equilateral triangles inverse to each other can be placed on a circle.

One equilateral triangle is formed by primary colors

RED

BLUE

YELLOW

AND SECOND inverse EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE is formed secondary colors

Violet

Green

Orange.

IN between secondary and primary color we have tertiary color

for example between blue and violet we have indigo (tertiary)

Just type color wheel on Google to know more about it

Moving ahead, we must remember that we all are nothing but a unique combination of 7 colors of light. I.e. at the time when we were born on a specific time at a specific location, a particular unique combination of 7 colors of light was available in that environment.

Scientists may call it as a different set of electromagnetic radiation field on a specific time and location defined/modified by different levels of wavelength, frequency, intensity, absorption, reflection, emission, refraction w.r.t light etc.

We astrologers are obviously are sitting on a much higher level of understanding when compared to the understanding derived from available scientific tools and can therefore take care of all the above mentioned aspects plus many additional hidden parameters which are not even known by science, through the concepts of astrology and are able to define levels of strengths of each cosmic ray by determining the strength of each planet. Not only this, but we are also able to time the effects of those planets through various dasha systems.

Some very rare concepts of Astrology

So let’s start

  • IF the native have a strong influence of Saturn in 2nd and 8th house, money loss will be there till 36th yr, his health would suffer at the age of 19.
  • Placement of Mars in 5th and sat in 11th makes the native learn many languages.
  • If placement of Sun is in 12th house, native will have a black mark on the upper part of the bodymainly above or on neck.
  • If placement of Rahu is in 2nd house native gets hurt by a stone, if Ashubh prabhav increases, he can even get hurt from a bullet.
  • Yog of Saturn -Rahu in 11th House gives the native huge amt of wealth in its dasha; good placement in navamsa will contribute more.
  • Effect of Mercury on 6th house makes the old age of the native comfortable…
  • Placement of Rahu in 6th and if Ashubh prabhav increases can even cause kidney transplant to occur in mild conditions kidney infections.
  • Placement of Saturn in 8th house contributes in problem of legs and veins etc and If Ashubh prabhav increases, this Saturn will lead to an accident
  • Presence of Rahu, sat, Mars in 2nd and 8th house with Venus, give rise to problems in sexual organs.
  • If someone has presence of sat, Mars in 8th house and if no shubh prabhav is there death of a life partner is in the chart and if any dasha of sat, Mars is around the period of marriage, death will occur soon after marriage.
  • If Venus is getting neech in 11th house and Mercury is sitting in 12th and there are Ashubh prabhav on 7th house.
  • Many marriages are indicated in the chart more than 3.
  • Yog of Sun and Moon generally in 3rd, 6th, 11th and 10th house makes the person to prosper in business of metals, minerals.
  • Aspect of Sun on 7th house makes wife of the native face problems in the 22nd and 23rd yrs and aspect of the Sun on 4th house give rise in the career in 22nd and 23rd yrs.
  • Placement of Moon in 3rd and 4th house gives rise in fortune after 24th yr.
  • Presence of Venus or Mercury in 4th house without any Ashubh prabhav gives a big house to the native.
  • Mercury in 4th house makes the native very learned.
  • Presence of Ketu in 10th house makes the person very religious. If proper support of planets like Saturn, Jupiter is there along with support of 9th, 12th, 8th houses is there, these can make the native to become Sanyasi.
  • Presence of Rahu in 4th and 1st house makes the person very selfish until planets like Jupiter and Moon are powerful in the chart and there are shubh prabhav on Rahu.
  • Yog of jup and Rahu in 5th house can easily make the native crime investigation officer for this 10th lord should be powerful and no Ashubh prabhav on Rahu should be there.
  • If 1st lord, 4th lord and 5th lord are simultaneously loosing their strength with MOON either by wrong placement or by tremendous Ashubh prabhav the above yog will definitely take the person to MENTAL HOSPITAL.
  • Placement of very powerful planets in 3rd house decreases the number of younger ones and friends that native has.
  • Saturn and Venus behave very auspiciously in 12th house irrespective of their placement but if they are placed in enemy rashi or having paap prabhav on them, then results will definitely change.
  • Shubh planets generally behave auspiciously in Kendra and trikond even when they are lord of paap houses.

We know that Saturn is good in 11th house but why Saturn in 12th house gives shubh effects? (In mitr rashi, shubh prabhav)

Answer

See we are destined to conquer over all five elements before the final Enlightenment namely (water, fire, earth, air, sky)

VERY IMPORTANT TIPS FOR READING CHARTS

Many a times, I have seen astrologers applying few concepts in a wrong way or not using “at all” few basic methods etc.

Here, I would like to list all those very important things related to falit Jyotish. (Predictive Astrology)

At times it happens that people visit an astrologer to just test his knowledge. They even present a chart of a dead man to an astrologer. So how to identify, whether the chart is of a dead man or not! Whenever you could smell something cooking, just apply this rule.

Add the rashi numbers of “Janma lagan, no. of the rashi falling in 8th house and Prashna lagan (At the time when question is asked)”

Multiply the resultant by 8

Divide the resultant by rashi number in which laganesh (lagan lord) is placed.

If the remainder is odd, the chart holder would be alive otherwise not.

Take another rule;

If a planet is placed in the rashi of any other planet (i.e. planet should not be swarashi) and if the rashi lord also aspect this planet. Then the said placed planet would be in full control of the rashi lord (or the aspecting planet) that is it would behave in a manner as the rashi lord wants him to behave.

Like suppose Jupiter is placed in kumbh rashi and is also aspected by Saturn (the rashi lord) then here Jupiter would give its fal as per the orders of Saturn I. e Jupiter has to take permission from Saturn before giving his fal.

Next Rule is very important;

Take any planet X, Now suppose Y planet is placed in the rashi of X.

Here the Fal of X (including its Drishti or aspect) would also have an effect of Y.

For example; suppose ketu is placed in the rashi of sun, now here sun’s aspect and general fal would also have an effect of ketu mixed in it as ketu is placed in the rashi of sun.

Coming to another vital Rule;

Just with the glimpse of a chart, an astrologer should be able to ascertain, that whether the native would have natural death or violent (unnatural death).

Unnatural death could be due to accident (Fire, air, water, earth (vehicle) related), suicide, black magic, In operation theater or murder etc.

To see the presence of unnatural death in the chart;

Just look closely these three factors, as they are sufficient enough.

1) Moon

2) 8th house

3) 8th lord

If there is a SIMULTANEOUS malefic influence of sun, Saturn, mars, ketu and Rahu on the above three factors (With no shubh prabhav) the native would face an unnatural death, in the dasha, antardasha of the planets involved.

Note: mars, ketu are specifically violent.

Moving ahead with next Rule;

Saturn in 7th house, 10th house, 11th house and 12th house is very strong (if not under any malefic influence) especially in dhanu (Sagittarius), meena (Pieces), Makar (Capricorn), kumbh (Aquarius) and Tula (Libra) and Rahu in 3rd house, 6th house, 7th house, 10th house, and 11th house is very strong especially in Vrish (Taurus), Mithun (Gemini), kark (Cancer), simh (Leo) and kanya (Virgo).

I hope you are enjoying reading these rules; anyways lets continue our journey.

If moon is under the SIMULTANEOUS influence of sun, Saturn, mars and ketu or any 3 of them without any benefic influence then NO RAJ YOG will fructify. There is no doubt in this.

Always keep the above rule in mind.

Do you know that Saturn is the only planet, which has the power and flexibility to give auspicious results by being placed in any house? Yes this is a fact believe it or not!  It can easily project all the auspicious aspects which any bhava can provide like from 6th (removal of enemies and diseases). The only condition is, it should be in strength, without any undue influence of mars and Rahu and very important- KARM OF THE NATIVE should be in synchronous with correct DHRAM path.

One rule to ascertain the dhana or money prospects in the chart;

Dhana lagan (or special Chandra lagan) must be determined.

Sun- 30 kala

jupiter-10 kala

Moon-16 kala

Venus- 12 kala

Mars- 6 kala

Mercury-8 kala

Saturn-1 kala

1) Add the kalas of 9th lord from lagan chart to the 9th lord from Chandra lagan chart.

2) Divide the resultant by 12

3) Obtain the remainder.

4) Count the remainder number from moon lagan.

5) Bhava obtained is actually-Dhana lagan.

Shubh prabhav on this lagan or in Kendra/trikond from this lagan gives immense wealth.

The results should be modified as per the planetary strengths.

Planetary placements results should be further VALIDATED by relative placement of 2 lords involved in navamsa chart.

Like suppose if lagan lord is placed in 2nd house

Then lagan lord and 2nd lord should NOT be placed in 6th/8th/12th w.r.t each other in Navamsa chart to get the full auspicious results of that placement.

Or In other words lagan and 2nd lord should be placed in Kendra or trikond WITH RESPECT TO EACH other in navamsa chart (they may not be in Kendra of navamsa chart- emphasis is on relative placement)

So let’s move to another rule;

Many a times, very simple and elementary rules are neglected by astrologers.

Just like this one.

The rashi in which 7th lord is placed in Navamsa chart or trine to that rashi or the rashi aspected by 7th lord in lagan chart becomes the moon sign of your life partner or spouse. Ya this is true.

This rule also needs attention.

If a yogkaraka planet aspect the 9th house of lagan chart, then in the antardasha of that yogkaraka planet and in the mahadasha of 9th lord himself the fortune of the native would experience a boom.

Now the most important question for half of the world;

How to decide the year of marriage?

Whenever Jupiter transits the navamsa rashi’s of 4th and 7th lord or TRINE from those rashi’s!

How to fix the month of marriage?

Whenever sun transits the above mentioned rashi’s!

How to fix the day of marriage?

When moon transits the above mentioned rashi’s!

In addition to this, also consider the transit of Jupiter in the rashi which is being aspected by 7th lord in lagan chart.

I.e. apart from the Jupiter’s transit in navamsa rashi of 4th and 7th lord or trine from those its transit in the rashi aspected by 7th lord (in lagan chart) should also be taken into account for fixing the year of marriage.

So now you know how to satisfy half of the world isn’t;

Don’t smile so much, be serious for next rule;

Simultaneous Influence of STRONG Mercury and Mars on the 7th house of Navamsa chart.

Note: – There should be no Ashubh prabhav (malefic influence) on the 7th house,7th lord, venus and UL of lagan chart.

These combinations, Gives a spouse from an extremely prosperous family!

Marching ahead!

Though everything is dependent in astrology still there are some planetary yogs which could be easily located consistently in good charts.

Note- All planets involved should BE in STRENGTH (Placement wise, D-9 wise etc)

ALSO

(No other planet should combine them and these two/three should not be in planetary war)

1) Jupiter and Moon

2) Jupiter and Mars

3) Jupiter and Sun

4) Moon and Mars.

5) Saturn and Venus

6) Jupiter and Ketu

7) Venus and Mercury

8) Venus and ketu

9) Sun and Saturn

10) Sun and Mercury

11) Jupiter, Moon and Mars

12) Saturn, Venus and Mercury

13) Jupiter Sun and Mars

14) Jupiter, Saturn and Mars

15) Sun, Saturn and Mercury

16) Rahu with Sun or Moon (WHEN luminary is not under Eclipse)

Special Rule for KALYUG!

According to the Sage Garga, one born (Even) with 3 exalted planets will not beget Raja yoga effects until and unless there is a planet in simultaneous deliberation. This applies to Kalyug. In the said Yuga, without a debilitated Planet, an exalted planet will become ineffective. Only with simultaneous presence of exalted and deliberated planets, raja Yogas will fructify. Interesting right!

We all have heard of guru chandal yog (Jupiter Rahu Yoga, Intense when, Jupiter’s degree lesser than that of Rahu), but do you know how can it be nullified?

When Rahu is about to engulf Jupiter, this dosh occurs, It basically limits or reduce the powers of Jupiter (The most auspicious planet in Astrology).

It is said that Jupiter marks the presence of GOD in our horoscopes, Therefore the relevance of this dosh is much beyond our comprehension anyways, This Dosh can be fully nullified only when;

1) Jupiter becomes retrograde with shubh prabhav on Jupiter (Aspect of Moon, Mercury or Venus) and Jupiter is in at-least Gopuramasa, remember shubh prabhav would give best results only when there are shubh aspects NOT CONJUCTION.

This is because if Venus or moon or mercury conjunct Jupiter in the above case they will also fall prey to the wrath of Rahu.

2) The Degree gap between Rahu and Jupiter is more than 20 degrees.

Next rule in the line is;

If Saturn is placed in 7th house and Jupiter in Lagan

Or

If mars is placed in 7th house and Jupiter in Lagan

The native would suffer from Windy complaints.

When Saturn is placed in lagan (ALONE+ Weak) and mars in 5th or 7th or 9th house (ALONE+ weak).

Or

When waning Moon and Saturn together are placed in 12th house (with no other planet in conjunction)

The native will become insane or Idiot.

                                                                                                                                                              ABHICHARA(BLACK MAGIC) & ASTROLOGY

Most of us have heard about this science , some of us have seen it happening in our family or in our relatives family,All of us are afraid of it…(some are not)

since , IT EXIST ALL OVER THE WORLD in the very midst of our society…

Name the country and you would find it over there and that too in the most crude form…

China,africa,brazil,canada,autralia,India…and the list is endless…

So ..we astrologers/and society itself should be well prepared to counter it…

and the first step would be …we should be aware of all the yogas that give rise to

abhichara in native’s life…

so lets begin…

open your charts ….and be ready for any remedy if needed…

Abhichara means black magic. This is something which is practiced in many ways in different parts of the world, invoking the negative energies. The basic motive for black magic is driving the enemy away from the locality, kill him or cause Lunacy. This can involve things such as giving him food (polluted)/burying material inside his house etc.

Here we would need the concept of badhakesh..and badhak sthan..

For all movable signs, the 11th house therefrom is the badhaka sthana, for all fixed signs, the 9th therefrom are their badhakasthana and for all the dual signs, the 7th therefrom are their badkasthanas.

Lord of the badhak sthana is known as badhakesh…

From the placement of the badhakesh (lord of the badhakasthana) or planets in the badhakasthana, we can judge the wrath of others and their result consequences in our lives in form of troubles.

1. Wrath of deity

2. Wrath of Sarpadeva or divine sepents

3. Wrath of parents

4. Preta Bhadha

5. Dristi Badha

6. Abhichara

we would only be discussing ABHICHARA OVER HERE..

for information on others..

go through…

http://varahamihira.blogspot.com/2004/10/badhakasthana-badhakesh.html

Combination for Abhichara:

1. Badhakesh association with 6th house or lord.

2. 6th lord in 1st, 7th, or 12th house as Mars occupies or aspects Lagna.

3. Ketu is 1st, 4th, or 10th as Mars aspect Lagna.

4. When both ketu and saturn aspect mars(results would keep on getting worse if both saturn and ketu are afflicted..)

5. From Arudha Lagna, the placement of badhakadhipati in 6th house

According to Prashna Margam ,the following Shloka gives Shatru Badha or black magic Lakshana:

BAADHESHASYAARIBHE VA RIPUBHAVANAPATHERBAADHAKARKSHE YADISYA

DYOGO VA DARSHANAM VA PUNARATHA YADI VA TATAU MITHAKSHETRASAMSTHAU,

BAADHAADHEESHARINAATHAAVAPI YADI SAHITAU PASHYATONYONYATO VA

SHASTROSTATRAABHICHARAM VADATU BAHUTAYAA LAKSHANAANAM SA BHUYAAN.

The meaning is like this :

1) From Arudha Lagna, the placement of badhakadhipati in 6th house,

2 ) 6th lord from Arudha Lagna placed in Badhakastana,

3) conjunction of both badhakadhipati and Shashtadhipati (6th lord and the lord of badhak sthana)

4) The mutual aspect of Badhakadhipati and 6th lord,

5) Badhakadhipati aspecting 6th house,

6 ) 6th lord aspecting Badhakastana,

7 ) 6th lord in Badhakastana.

Few other are..

1)laganesh and 6th lord in conjuction and simultaneoully aspecting badhaksthana.

2)badhakdhipati and 6th lord in conjuction and simultaneouslly aspecting lgan bhav or lord.

3)laganesh and badhakdhipati in conjuction and simultaneouly placed in 6th house.

Always remember first thing to notice is afflictions on badhakadhipati…

by saturn,mars or rahu…

Now another classic called Santana Deepika tells about Black Magic in the following way :

CHARE VILAGNE RIPUNATHA DRISHTE KUJE CHA LABHE STHIRABHE CHA DHARME,

DWANDESTARASHAU PRAVADENNARANAM ROGAM RIPUNAAM KRITAMAABHICHARAI.

Meaning ;

1) Arudha Lagna in chara or moveable Rasi,6th lord aspecting Arudha Lagna,Kuja in 11th house.

2 ) Arudha Lagna in fixed or sthira Rasi,6th lord aspecting Arudha Lagna,Kuja in 9th house.

3 ) Arudha Lagna in Ubhaya Rasi or dwiswabhava Rasi,6th lord aspecting this

Arudha Lagna,Kuja in 7th house.

All these lead to Abhichara ,resulting in diseases.

HORANAATHAYUTE BHAUME LAGNAKENDRAGATETHAWA,

RIPUNATHE VILAGNASTHE CHAABHICHAARA UDEERYATAAM.

Meaning :

Kuja with Arudha Lagna lord or Kuja in kendra to Lagna and 6th lord in Lagna and

this is also one Lakshana for Abhichara.

SUKHABHAVAGATE KETAU KARMALAGNAGATE ATHAVA,

LAGNE BHAUMAYUTE DRISHTE CHAABHICHAARA UDEERYATAAM.

Meaning :

Ketu in Arudha Lagna/Lagna,4th or 10th and Lagna belongs to Kuja or aspects

Lagna is also Shatrukrita Abhichara.

SUKHABHAVAGATE KETAU KARMALAGNAGATE ATHAVA,

KENDRE MANDI SAMAAYUKTE ROGAH KSHUDRABHICHARAJAH

Meaning :

Ketu in 1-4-10 and Mandi also in Lagnat Kendra, then the disease is due to Abhichara.

SHATRUSTAANDHIPE LAGNE KARMANYSTANGATHEATHAVA,

LAGNE BHAUMAYUTE DRISHTE CHAABHICHAARA UDEERYATAAM.

meaning :

6th lord from Arudha Lagna in Lagna or 7th or 10th and Kuja in Lagna or

aspecting Lagna is also another type of Abhichara.

before going ahead…

few remedies…

Remedies

1. Mritunjaya Japa, Ganapati or Tila Homa indicates the relief.

General Remedial Measures

1. Jupiter [who represent Sadashiva or Maha-Vishnu] & ninth lord help /protect.

2. A natural benefic in the ninth or ninth Lord in strength in a quadrant or Jupiter in Lagna/aspecting Lagna are a few of the combinations for protection.

3. If malefic are in quadrant to them, they will strongly block the efficacy. The ninth Lord can also be the Lord of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 houses respectively. The other house influencing the ninth house would show the deity who need to be worshipped. For example, if the ninth Lord is also Lord of second house then, start the remedial process by worshipping the Kuladevata.

4. If any planet conjoined or aspected by a natural benefic or a natural benefic itself, is in Lagna, then the deity indicated by the benefic planet shall surely protect the person.

5. If the ninth Lord associates with the Badhak House or Badhakesh, then the deity he worshipped in his previous birth has been neglected, thereby leading to misfortune and troubles.

6. If the fourth Lord is associated with the Badhak House or Badhakesh, then it is the Grama Devata who need to be worshipped.

7. If the second Lord associates with the Badhak House or Badhakesh, then it is the Kula Devata. Advise resumption of worship immediately.

shiva tandav stotra, vishnu sahasranam path also helps a lot…

Indeed any devata has the power to provide protection from abhichara if his/her bhakti is done nicely …

anyways..

always remember one basic rule..

If badhakesh is being afflicted by any of the 6th /8th lords/saturn/mars/rahu…with simultaneous presence of ketu mangal yog in lagan or with lagan lord..then abhichara is present in the chart.

This yog can have variations like for example ketu in 4th house, mars aspecting lagan from 7th/10th house..and badhakesh with saturn or 8th lord.

look into this chart…where person was being killed due to abhichara..

18th august 1957

10:52:59pm

delhi..

Also do remember that Various dasha sequence play a huge role in aggravating the effect of abhichara..

Like in the above chart the..death was caused in this dasha sequence…

JUpiter mahadasha(acting as a marak ..as sitting with marak venus)

mars antardasha( aspecting badhakesh & badhak sthana and in conjuction with 6th lord)

venus parayantra dasha(actual marak being the lord of 2nd and 7th house)

and rahu sookshma dasha/..(marak..as placed in 7th house)

Here badhakesh saturn(retro) is being afflicted by mars(8th lord)..placed in 8th house

there is a conjuction between 6th and lagan lord(mars and mercury)-aspecting the badhak sthana(11th house for mesh lagan)

also ketu is placed in lagana..

Both venus and jupiter are marak placed in 6th house..

Again always remember..that RAHU PLAYS A HUGE ROLE AS FAR AS BLACK MAGIC IS CONCERNED.

Just be cautious in the dasha antartdasha of 6th lord, badhakesh, rahu, saturn, mars…obviouslly when these planets and 6th lord are afflicting each other….

Also be catious…when….

1)mars under the influence of ketu and saturn

2)strong connection between badhakesh,badhaksthan and 6th lord.

3) ketu and mars in kendra from each other.

4) saturn aspecting badhaksthan.(because of parivartan..also influencing badhakesh)

5) All 3 ,saturn ,mars and rahu are sitting in marak sthana..(2nd house)

6) badhaksthan from AL strongly afflicted by saturn rahu and mars..

7) 6th lord from AL in arudh lagan

(also refer to above mentioned rules, if above mentioned conditions are applicable)

for lord wise remedial texts…

http://sanskritdocuments.org/doc_1_index.html

Note:

When 11th lord happens to be the badhakesh for mesh, karak, tula and makar lagan..then badhaka sthana and badhakesh should not be conjucted or aspected by a malefic planet(functional,naisargik)..both in the navamsa and lagan chart..

When 9th lord and 7th lord happens to be the badhakesh for fixed lagan signs ..that is(vrish, simh, vrishchik, kumbh) and dual lagan signs(mithun, kanya, dhanu, meena) respectively

then badhakesh should not be conjucted or aspected by a malefic planet(functional,naisargik)..both in the navamsa and lagan chart..

but also should not be placed in 6th/12th/8th houses…..

A sign is a place in the heavens which can be occupied by the planets. The planets are like people, who utilize the resources of a place to achieve whatever ends they desire. So the zodiac signs influence astrology not directly, but indirectly by providing specific resources which limit, facilitate and otherwise modify what the planets can do in a horoscope.

To do astrology, you must clearly and deeply understand what resources are available in which signs. That’s what this article will help you with.

Each zodiac sign is a result of four things: gender, element, mode and ruler. We can take gender out of the equation because element implies gender (fire and air are always masculine, water and earth are always feminine). A zodiac sign, therefore is a combination of three things:

    1. An element (fire, earth, air or water), combined with
    1. A mode (cardinal, fixed or dual), and cultivated by
    1. A ruler (one of the seven primary planets)

Here is a list of the ingredients in the recipe for each of the twelve zodiac signs (if you are patient and have a good eye for abstractions, you will find many beautiful symmetries and patterns in this list. I apologize that the simple formatting here doesn’t reveal these perfections more clearly):

Sun + fixed fire = Leo.

Moon + cardinal water = Cancer.

Mercury + dual earth = Virgo.

Mercury + dual air = Gemini.

Venus + cardinal air = Libra.

Venus + fixed earth = Taurus.

Mars + fixed water = Scorpio.

Mars + cardinal fire = Aries.

Jupiter + dual fire = Sagittarius.

Jupiter + dual water = Pisces.

Saturn + cardinal earth = Capricorn.

Saturn + fixed air = Aquarius.

Saturn’s Signs

Capricorn

Saturn+ Cardinal Earth.

Recall what you learned about Saturn, reality, tenacity, etc. Now consider those interests expressing themselves through cardinal earth. The nature of Saturn becomes more forceful, decisive and ambitious due to the cardinal mode, and even more enduring, immovable and rigid due to the earth element.

Capricorn encourages absolutely unrelenting tenacity with decisive dedication to realizing practical results from extremely ambitious goals.

We symbolize this meaning in the image of a mythical sea creature called a “Capricorn” or “Mākara.” The original version of this formidable beast is a crocodile’s jaws with a shark’s tail and a deer’s legs. The crocodile jaws are symbolic of tenacity, never letting go. The ability to be swift on water or land like a shark or a deer shows the decisive cardinality of this sign, and highlights Saturn’s ability to tolerate and dominate in any condition, land or sea.

Aquarius

Saturn + Fixed Air

Now consider the same interests of Saturn expressing themselves instead through fixed air. The fixed mode resonates well with Saturn’s patient tenacity. But the air mode causes Saturn to be less stubborn, and more curious.

Aquarius encourages enduring curiosity and humble patience in discovering the many different facets of life and its ultimate meaning.

A pot symbolizes this quite well. Some say the symbol is of a man pouring a pot – water flowing out of the pitcher, but the older symbol is of a man filling the pot – water flowing into the pitcher. I find the older symbol more useful. The pot is a place to collect various things collected in ones travels throughout life. The bearer of the pot is a servile person, like Saturn, which reflects that Saturn’s humility is available in Aquarius.

Jupiter’s Signs

Sagittarius

Jupiter + Dual Fire

Remember the root of all Jupiter’s intentions is positive expansion, accomplished through good moral guidance. The fire element, an element which shines light on the path and clearly points the right way forward, resonates quite well with these intentions. The duality here prevents the fire from being hasty and overly judgmental – as it is prone to be by nature. Instead it encourages a broad and open minded inquisitiveness.

Sagittarius encourages an open-minded hunger for the positive future that is sure to develop from broad ethical, moral, and philosophical understanding.

The symbol is a drawn bow and arrow, carried by a centaur. The arrow symbolizes the high moral ambitions of Sagittarius – to understand morality, ethics and philosophy in an ever broader manner. The arrow and the centaur are very fast. The centaur can run in one direction while the arrow shoots in the other – symbolizing the dual nature of Sagittarius. The centaur and arrow want to cover as much ground as possible. Notice that the centaur is a centaur, not just a horse. It has the head, the brain of a human. This conveys that Sagittarius is intelligent. The wide-roaming centaur and arrow want to cover as much philosophical ground as possible.

Pisces

Jupiter + Dual Water

Now consider the same energy as Sagittarius but with the moral and ethical interests of the fire element replaced by the contemplative, deep and reflective interests of the water element.

Pisces encourages deep introspection and careful reflection upon the heart of any matter, from all sides.

A fish is the symbol of Pisces. Naturally this is a reference to the water element in Pisces. Also, a fish is silent, and Pisces is quite introspective and reflective in how it goes about gaining a broader base of understanding. A fish can go very deep into the water, and this conveys the combination of Jupiter and water encouraging very deep contemplations. Often the symbol for Pisces contains two fish swimming in opposite directions, though tied together. This very clearly denotes the dual mode in Pisces.

The Signs of Mars

Scorpio

Mars + Fixed Water

Recall what you learned about Mars. He is our individual energy and ambition. Expressing itself through the fixed mode this results in the ambition to become deeper, more profound and more attractive. Because this fixed mode is blended with the element of water, the context of the ambition for profundity becomes emotionally, inwardly oriented. Fixed water, as a combination, creates great depths. Utilized by Mars it because an ambition to attain profound depths.

Scorpio encourages an inward search for more profound depths. Individuality is realized by strengthening and deepening one’s own inner self.

A scorpion is the symbol of Scorpio. This insect is dangerous, like Mars, and lives alone as an individual, like Mars. It lives in holes in the ground or secret cracks and shadows, symbolizing the inward, depth oriented nature of Scorpio as well as its proclivity for secrecy and secret things hidden in the depths.

Aries

Mars + Cardinal Fire

Now consider the same individualizing energy and ambition of Mars, not focused on inner depths as in Scorpio, but on outer heights. Cardinality resonates with the ambitious bravery of Mars. Fire shows the path and allows for swift progress without hesitation. Cardinal fire allows Mars to give great extroverted expressions to brave ambitions.

Aries encourages setting off alone and brave, blazing one’s own path as a bold declaration of individuality and self-assuredness.

The symbol of Aries is a mountain-goat, a ram. Like the scorpion this creature is dangerous with its formidable horns, and highly individualistic – living far from society and other animals, alone in the rocky heights of mountains. An animal who climbs great heights very appropriately conveys the ambitious cardinal nature, and by always knowing where to step without falling it symbolizes the fire element which illuminates the clear path.

Signs of Venus

Libra

Venus + Cardinal Air

Venus, remember, is mainly interested in making the world a better, more enjoyable place. When she cultivates this quality through cardinal air, in creates a very liberal nature. Cardinal is ambitious in seeking change towards new improvements. Air is curious and mobile and likes to change in search of new things.

Libra encourages a more pleasant world through liberal enthusiasm for new and better ways of life.

A lady holding a scale symbolizes Libra. This communicates the liberal ideal of fairness. The lady is fair and beautiful, symbolizing a more pleasant and enjoyable world. Scales symbolize justice and fairness, but also fair trade and exchange. This portrays how Libra does not hold on to old things and seeks to trade the old for something new and better.

Taurus

Venus + Fixed Earth

Now consider how the same intentions of Venus can manifest using fixed earth. Earth is practical, so the outcome is towards improving the world in a tangible, real, practical manner. The fixed mode is deep, steady, and conservative, so we have an emphasis on preserving good things.

Taurus encourages preservation of beneficial traditions and creation of things which are good and enjoyable in a tangible, practical way.

The bull is a symbol of Taurus. The bull is a domestic animal, so is pitting to portray a sign owned by Venus, who is all about relationships, cooperation and marriage. The bull tills the earth – fitting for symbolizing a sign created from the earth element, and thus creates food – the most practical and tangible object of wealth, goodness and enjoyment. The bull plowing a field also symbolizes simple adherence to old ways and traditions, fitting for the nature of a fixed sign intent on preserving what is good and worthwhile in the world.

Mercury’s Signs

Virgo

Mercury + Dual Earth

Remember that Mercury is the planet of interchange and intellect, whose main intention is to learn and understand. The dual mode, of course, resonates very sonorously with this – facilitating a multifaceted and objective approach. Earth directs this interest towards practical, tangible matters.

Virgo encourages intelligence in practical matters, caution and thoroughness in all affairs.

A virgin is the symbol of Virgo. Over the centuries a lot of symbolic baggage has accumulated around the image of “virgin.” One thing that is still easy to hear in the imagery is a reflection of the prudence and caution of the earth element. Young girls are extremely intelligent and excellent students, especially in comparison to young boys. This makes them a fitting symbol for a sign of Mercury, the planet of intellect and learning. Before marriage, a girl is still studying many different subjects in school – reflecting on the dual mode and the character of Mercury present in Virgo.

Gemini

Mercury + Dual Air

The only thing different here from Virgo is the element. But what a significant difference it makes! Air is not at all cautious, it is free and mobile and fun-loving. Dual air allows Mercury to fully cultivate its wit, inventiveness, and fun-loving nature.

Gemini encourages ingenuity, invention, and a youthful love for freedom and fun.

Sometimes we see twins as a symbol for Gemini, but the more ancient image is a couple enjoying one another’s company. In both cases the two persons in the image point to the dual nature of the sign. That they are both human symbolizes the intellectual, witty, and refined nature of the sign. The more ancient image is more complete, however, because it portrays Gemini’s love for the fun and games associated with new youth.

Signs of the Luminaries

Leo

Sun + Fixed Fire

The Sun is the authority, and the strong sense of identity. The fixed mode is attractive and draws valuable things towards it rather than chasing after them. This causes Leo to support the kind of self-confidence that is charismatic and creates a powerful leader. This resonates loudly with the nature of the fire element, as well. Fire lights the path for others to follow.

Leo encourages strong self-confidence, generating the charisma and authority that commands and guides many followers.

The lion symbolizes Leo. The appropriateness of this image is quite obvious. The lion is the king of the jungle – and the Sun is the king of the planets. The lion is a calm, powerful, stately animal – much like the fixed mode. But like fire, the lion can be punishing when it decides to act.

Cancer

Moon + Cardinal Water

The Moon is the mind, the seat of all desires. Cardinality is decisive and ambition. Water is emotional and reflective. Clearly water and the moon harmonize loudly and clearly with one another, for emotions, desires and the mind itself are one and the same. Cardinality puts an interesting twist on the mixture, causing the emotional mind to be ambitious and decisive! Though cardinality brings decisiveness and direction to Cancer, we can’t forget that the Moon is shy by nature, greatly desiring the approval and acceptance of others.

Cancer encourages strong emotions and decisive opinions yet expresses them shyly and somewhat fearfully.

A crab symbolizes Cancer. The crab is a water-creature, so it is appropriate to symbolize a water sign. It runs sideways, quickly – an image alluding to the directional and committed / decisive nature of the cardinal element. The hard shell can also inform us of the cardinal disposition, which is not flexible and which shields itself from distraction. It, and the crab’s overall behavior, also speaks of the Moon’s timidity and fearfulness of being hurt by others.

Can we really reduce the bad effects of planets?Yes bad effects can be reduced although not fully reversed ( Since we cannot change destiny ) by various remedies prescribed in our ancient Indian texts. These include recitation / chanting of esoteric words in harmony with the god governing the malefic planet. This is called a Mantra. Then we have ancient symbols with are imprinted or embossed on metal or other material plaques and then meditated upon to give them the power to ward of the adverse planetary effects. This method is used for peculiar planetary combinations and usually is used at place of work or at home. This is called a Yantra.

Of course the most popular remedy has been the wearing of gems & metals to give strength to the planet causing troubles and hardships.

Lastly is the method of remedies which include various ancient practices ( too detailed for discussion here ) which provide relief from various planetary adversities.

Collectively these practices have provided relief to mankind provided the person does not forget that there is no alternative to action and honesty in intentions to overcome adverse periods in life.

What principles are checked while matching compatibility for marriage? Why is it important to match horoscopes for marriage?

Marriage is one of the most important aspects of life and it is with the help of astrology that we are able to check various issues like the chances of the relationship continuing without a break, harmony in life, whether one person is causing hurdles or pressure on the life of the other partner.

With these cleared the marriage can be performed with much more ease in the mind.

Since we all know a bad relationship can put a person back by a few years so getting the horoscope matched is like buying insurance for a happy and peaceful life.

The method of checking compatibility is a very scientific methodThe following areas are checked for compatibility and the cumulative total after giving a weighted importance to each area is 36 points. As per ancient Indian texts the minimum points allowed for the match to be approved is 18 points or 50 %. The different areas are :

              I.      PROMOTION OF LUCK FOR EACH OTHER

II.      TEMPRAMENTS ( Intellectual Compatibility )

III.      LONGEVITY OF HUSBAND. ( Growth of family )

IV.      LONGEVITY OF WIFE.( Growth of family )

             V.      SEXUAL COMPATIBILITY.

VI.      LEVEL OF ATTRACTION. ( Children )

          VII.      HARMONY IN THINKING PATTERN.

VIII.      COMFORT & EASE IN RELATIONSHIP.( Vibes )

IX.      STRENGTH & DURATION OF MARRIED LIFE.

           X.      SPECIAL AFFLICTIONS OR UNFORTUNATE COMBINATIONS (Proving harmful to spouse)

XI.      SPIRITUAL & EGO DEVELOPMENT OF PARTNER (In relation to each other)

XII.      PULSE OR NERVOUS ENERGY ( To cover psychological and hereditary factors so that both the partner do not have the same genetic defects which are passed on to the next generation.

Since every person cannot have harmony in all areas so the ancient texts prescribe at least 50 % compatibility so as to give the marriage a chance to work.

There is empirical evidence to show that the marriages between people with a compatibility factor below 50 %have a lower success rate than ones with figure higher than that.

What principles are involved while naming children as per their horoscope?

Each zodiac sign corresponds to certain sounds as per the list given below. Just like a musical instrument where certain points signify certain sounds similarly the zodiac signs are different places in space corresponding to these sounds as mentioned below.

A person named in harmony with the sound corresponding to his birth chart gets the effects of planetary combinations in a more smooth and unhindered way than those people named in disharmony with their natural birth sounds.

CHECK LIST

1.      Aries chu, che, cho, la, lee, lu, le, lo, aa

2.      Tauras ee, oo, ae, o, va, vi, vu, ve, vo, ba, bi, bu, be,bo

Are planetary effects predominant? What is the human effort is the whole process?

It is true that the science of astrology is a science of indication. Provided there is a strong will and requisite effort is brought into play, certain indications in the horoscope can be overcome. Of course, the strong will in such a case will be indicated in the nativity itself. Just as unfavorable indications can be overcome. In the above manner, the promise of good effects can also be spoiled in various ways. A weak and vacillating mind will not be able to take advantage of the planetary vibrations and bring them to fruit. For example if the man acts perversely, he can prevent a good alliance of marriage. It is to some extent within the range of prediction too.

Rashi Paraivartan Yoga (Exchange yoga)

As per the nadi Jyotish, paraivartan yog can be termed as the strongest form of relationship that can exist between two planets(stronger than mutual association, mutual aspect etc), In other words if two planets are involved in a paraivartan then results can be easily predicted by placing them in place of each other.

The unexpected events, may be good (or) bad will take place in natives life, if paraivartan yoga is present in natives horoscope (or) some sudden changes will take place. Therefore while analyzing the horoscope; astrologer must give importance to this paraivartan yoga. Let me explain you with a help of an example.

Assume Guru and Ketu are located in Simha in lagan. As Guru is along with Ketu in the same sign the native will have religious thought. He will be doing spiritual sadhanas. Also Surya, Sukra and Chandra all these three planets are located in Meena Rasi in 8th house

in the chart. Here Surya is located in Guru sign Meena and Guru is located in Surya sign Simha there fore it is evident that the planet Surya and Guru both are involved in planetary exchange and they are friendly with each other. The Jeevakaraka Guru is located along with Ketu. Therefore the native will be a Sanyasi because Ketu is Moksha karaka. Surya is a politician. Due to planetary exchange,

Guru will come to Meena Rasi; there he will meet Sukra and Chandra both of which are female planets. Sukra and Chandra both are beautiful ladies. Since Sukra is in exaltation sign, they will be rich ladies.

So, A politician will introduce these ladies to a Sanyasi, the Sanyasi will lose his self control and fall prey to these attractive ladies because of this paraivartan yoga.

Therefore in the first part of the life the native will lead a life of Sanyasi. In the second part of life he will be after attractive ladies losing his self control.

Take one more example Assume Surya is located in Venusian sign Tula and Sukra is located in Surya’s sign Simha(Leo). Therefore it is evident that the planets Surya and Sukra both are involved in planetary exchange. The native of this horoscope is a female. Jeeva karaka Sukra is located in Simha along with Chandra and Rahu. Chandra is a karaka for adultery and Rahu is the karaka for secret affairs. Therefore this lady will have secret affairs with many people. Due to planetary exchange when Sukra (Venus) comes Tula

(Libra) Rasi, there Sukra (Venus) will join Kuja(mars).Jupiter aspects Venus from Aries (7th aspect). Ketu is karaka for vairagya. Guru is a karaka for spiritual leader. Ketu is a karaka for moksha. Therefore the native meets spiritual guru unexpectedly. He advises her to change her

way of life and guides her in the spiritual path. In the first part of the life the native will be almost like a prostitute. In the second part of the life she will develop vairagya due to the grace of spiritual guru and she will practice spiritual sadhana….

Beautiful thing about paraivartan yoga is that it is not dasha dependent but will be evident throughout the person’s life. Some also say to the extent that here the planets are acting as if they are in their own sign…

Maha Paraivartan Yoga is formed when there is an exchange of Rashi which lords Kendra and / or Trikond. Kendra is known as Vishnu Sthan which helps in sustenance and Trikond is known as Lakshmi Sthan which helps in progress and development of the native. Hence, when lords of these houses are involved in Paraivartan Yoga, then it results in very good development (both material as well as Spiritual) of the native.

There are other types of Paraivartan Yoga also like 1) Nakshatra Paraivartan wherein two or more planets are placed in each other’s Nakshatra and 2) Karaka Paraivartan, wherein planets exchange houses of which they are significators

There is one more very essential point to this yog, assume there is a paraivartan yog between Venus and moon. Venus placed in 7th house in cancer and moon is placed with Saturn in tula in 10th house, now see what happens from another angle, Since Moon is placed with laganesh Saturn…therefore the direction of the paraivartan would be from Venus to moon also Venus is a rajsik planet and moon is a sativik planet as a result the parameters of Venus (which has rajsik gunas) will start getting converted into sativik gunas, In other words In the life of this native art, music, dance, women etc. will help the native to see his sativik gunas or he would try to find god through the parameters of Venus. Hope I am able to convey my point more so because Saturn is also aspecting Venus through his 10th aspect so Saturn is also indirectly pushing this Venus to accomplish the objective of paraivartan.

Tuesday’s planet is Mars, and its color is Red. Hence, Mars properties are present in all red objects. Same goes with our blood.

The more powerful is Mars in your Kundli, higher will be the percentage of Hemoglobin in your blood. That is why boys have higher hemoglobin than women , in general, as men are said to come from Mars.

If ones hemoglobin is on the higher side, then it’ll reflect in delay in marriage, aggravated anger, greater courage, etc. Similarly, if ones hemoglobin is low then it reflects as frustration, fear, lack of self confidence, etc.

Actually the secrecy lies in the balance/ harmony.

A practical solution to elevate ‘weak Mars’ is to eat red fruits/ veggies and to wear red clothes. To weaken a ‘strong Mars’, one should donate red clothes, fruits, veggies and even blood. Note that hemoglobin is directly related to Iron content, which gives the red color to fruits/ veggies. (The exact meaning of ‘donation’ is ‘tyaag’, i.e., to give away that thing and also to avoid its use.)

Another aspect of Mars is Arms (interestingly, both words originate from the same set of letters). From primitives times till date, 95% of arms are made from iron metal. Also, the homes in which steel utensils are use tend to be less harmonious than those which eat in bone-china/ silver/ glass/ clay utencils. I remember my childhood days, when my mother stopped me from making noise from scissors (khali kainchi chalana). For the same fact, in olden times, armies used to go on fights with enemies when planet Mars was visible in the sky. Also, the Roman army used to make noise by banging their weapons, while marching towards the enemy’s army; a way to call Mangal Bhagwan for giving victory in battle.

I correlate Saturn with wheels due to the presence of rings around it. In human body legs and bones are related to Saturn. Intake of calcium and eating oil free food strengthens Saturn plus taking care of your feet and shoes and tyres of your vehicle pleases Saturn. Walking and pedicure also helps. Furthermore as a planet of justice, disclosure of one’s secrets in public is the most appropriate way to please Saturn.
Perhaps this is one of the logics behind the tradition of confession in Christianity…
